When a yoga studio closes its doors

Breathe & Balance Yoga’s Lincoln closure puts the shared teaching room, and what follows it, in focus.

Breathe & Balance Yoga says its Lincoln, California studio will close on October 31. Its published notice set October 22 as the end of regular classes and listed farewell fundraising sessions for October 24 and 25. The closure was also reported by the Sacramento Business Journal on October 22.

A room holds more than a timetable

For a teaching community, a studio is also a familiar place to arrive, meet others and build a routine. Losing that room raises practical questions about where students will practise and how they will stay connected. The current studio notice confirms the closure, but does not establish a replacement timetable. What comes next should be checked with the studio rather than assumed from the farewell announcement.
