A teaching life takes root in Jaywick
Kristina Tielkova’s new Yoga Art Happy studio brings weekly classes for adults and children to Sunspot.
The Gazette reports that Kristina Tielkova has opened Yoga Art Happy at Sunspot in Jaywick, Essex, with a grand opening on 24 October. Tielkova arrived in Britain from Ukraine with her daughter in 2022 and now runs classes for adults and children.
Building a place to teach
The report also describes support from RAMA, a Colchester charity working with refugees. Behind the opening is a practical story about rebuilding a teaching life: finding a room, establishing local relationships and welcoming people into regular classes. The studio’s programme brings yoga and creative practice into the same small business.
