A yoga showcase puts projects before buzzwords
An online November 9 to 15 programme invites teachers to examine methods, measures and the limits of each project’s claims.

The Neuroscience and Yoga Community Showcase runs online from November 9 to 15. NeuroYogaNYC presents it as a working forum for yoga teachers, therapists, clinicians and researchers to examine projects and improve how their methods and claims are described.
A programme to read critically
The daily themes range from mental health and brain health to community access, education and chronic conditions. The organisers emphasise transparent methods and practical outcomes rather than relying on scientific-sounding vocabulary. That is a stated editorial aim, not an independent assessment of every presentation.
The access terms also deserve a close reading. A free pass provides each project presentation for 24 hours after its scheduled release and includes presentation comments and questions. Workshops, extended viewing and Sunday’s live project clinics require an optional upgrade. The whole programme is not included without it.
An event listing is an invitation to inspect work, not proof that a project is effective. For teachers, the useful questions are concrete: who took part, what was actually done, what was measured and what remains uncertain? Those questions travel well from an online showcase into an ordinary teaching conversation.
