A cello joins community yoga in Troy

A free 25 October session paired movement with live cello through Troy Music Hall’s community programme.

A 25 October WRGB report describes a community yoga session accompanied by The Cello Experience with Demetria Coninis. The Troy Music Hall programme listed the Sunday event at its Capital Region Music Hub, with yoga and musical activation led by Nikki Rogers of Lifted Vision Grounded Grooves.

A local partnership changes the atmosphere

The venue’s community series is free through support from CDPHP. Live music gives this session a particular character within that ongoing partnership, bringing a musician into the teaching setting. The reporting describes the pairing and its atmosphere; it does not establish a therapeutic effect. For teachers, it is an example of how a local cultural organisation can provide another setting for shared practice.
